FAQ

Is this banned-word checker free? Do I need an account?

It is free and needs no sign-up or sign-in. Signed in, you can also check against your persona's own rules.

How do I check ad copy for banned words online?

Paste the title and body into the boxes above; it checks as you type. Hits are highlighted in the text and listed below with the reason and a suggested replacement.

Which words does the Advertising Law check catch?

Seven built-in lists: Advertising Law absolute terms (such as "best", "No. 1", "national level"), Xiaohongshu traffic words (WeChat IDs, off-site links), efficacy claims, income and guaranteed-pass promises, superstition terms, Douyin live and short-video terms (such as "DM to claim" and "0-yuan deals") and Taobao listing terms (such as made-up original prices, rewards for reviews and knock-offs).

Is my text uploaded?

No. The check runs in your browser; what you paste is not sent to a server or saved.

If nothing is flagged, is my copy safe?

Not necessarily. The lists cover common high-risk terms, not every term, and there is no official complete list. Always follow the latest platform rules and regulations.

Which platforms is it for?

Xiaohongshu notes, WeChat articles, Weibo, Zhihu, Moments ads, video scripts and e-commerce product pages. It checks Chinese text only.

How should I fix flagged words?

Use the suggested rewrite for each hit, for example "best" becomes "very good". Or sign up for Copywa and let AI write compliant copy in your persona's voice.
